To kick off the New Year, Search EDP Inc. donated six computer systems to a Boys and Girls Club of America located in Hawthorne, New Jersey. The club, which provides recreation and companionship to children in the community, serves an estimated 4.6 million boys and girls in nearly 4,000 locations in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and domestic and international military bases.
The computers will be used in classrooms by children ages 3-6 to engage them in educational games, develop their motor skills, and begin to introduce them to the world of computing. “I know they [Boys and Girls Club of Hawthorne] will make full use of these computers,” commented Erik Dougherty, Executive Search Director at Search EDP Inc., who personally delivered the equipment to the facility.
